Advancing amblyopia research through collaboration, open science, and accessible knowledge sharing.
Connect researchers, clinicians, trainees, and patient partners to strengthen amblyopia research across Canada.
Promote new studies, participant recruitment, open science, and collaborative research initiatives.
Make amblyopia research accessible through open-access resources, educational activities, and public engagement.

A new special issue of Frontiers in Neuroscience, “Development and neuroplasticity of the visual system, amblyopia and beyond,” brings together recent research spanning cellular, behavioural, and clinical approaches to visual development and plasticity. The collection highlights the increasingly broad view of amblyopia as a disorder affecting more than visual acuity, with contributions addressing perceptual distortions, binocular vision, suppression, neural plasticity, and recovery.
